Wood carvers’ gouge; carved out of one piece of ebony. Ebony is a very dense dark wood which can be polished to a mirror finish in its natural state. Due to its density, it is able to hold very fine detail in the finished carving.

Tillet block is a woodcut print block which was used in the wool industry during the 17th and 18th centuries.
