We were asked by London Stone Conservation to join the restoration project of the damaged chancel carvings at St Stephens Church in Hampstead. The sculptures were carved by Thomas Earp in Bath stone and depict four scenes from the life and death of St Stephen. Grinling Gibbons Carving
Commissioned by Alan Lamb from Swan Farm Studios, we were asked to help in the restoration of the Grinling Gibbons woodcarving and sculpture, at Trinity College Chapel. Works included the repair and replacement of missing elements from the Grinling Gibbons painted limewood reredos and replacing missing elements from the panels of the altar rail.
Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School
We carried out a restoration project on a WWI Memorial, which included the Haberdashers’ Coat of Arms. The memorial is located at the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School in Hertfordshire, England. The restoration project was organised for the WWI centenary. The memorial was surveyed and then carefully dismantled on-site into three main sections for transportation to our London studio.
